She was predeceased by: her parents, James Merriweather Sr. and Mary L. Merriweather. She is survived by: her brother James Merriweather Jr.; her children, Charles King of Dixon, CA and Carla (Lawless); her granddaughters, Dolce Sanders (Husband-Aaron), Catherine and Jovan Hooks; and her great grandchild Braxton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Mortuary (1125 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67214). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Winfield Veterans Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
