She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Byron Waite and Helen Waite (Peine). She is survived by: her husband Tom; her sister Aletha; and her son Russell (Trish). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Gifts in memory of her may be given to the following: Legacy Foundation for Winfield Habitat for Humanity, or Legacy Foundation for P.E.O. Gertrude Hankins Scholarship, and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
