She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl McElroy and Madelaine McElroy (Marten); her husband Paul Wacker; her children, Michael Wacker, Annette and Janette; and her brothers, Larry and Roger McElroy.

She is survived by : her children, Becky Waldorf (Rick) of Winfield, Paula Kane (Stephen) of Kansas City, MO, Carol Stucki (Robert) of Clarksville, TN and John Wacker (Jennifer) of Rose Hill; her brother Tom McElroy (Cathy) of Wichita; and her grandchildren, Brian Waldorf of Wichita, Rachael Hundley (Micah) of Olathe, Kari Cates of Winfield, Maci Kane of Kansas City, MO, Luci Kane of Winfield, Reece Kane of Kansas City, MO, Parker Kane of Kansas City, MO, Leo Kane of Kansas City, MO, Jacob Stucki (Allison) of Clarksville, TN, Sariah Walker (Zachary) of Fairbanks, AK, Nicole Ferguson (Jesse) of Burden, Meagan Chandler (Kolbi) of Wichita and Lauren Wacker of Derby. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established in Mary's name for Trinity Lutheran School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
