With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip Jay Croyle of Winfield, Kansas, born in Rapid City, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 63. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allen Paul and Mary Alice Croyle (Okpealuk); his sons, Jason of Minnesota and Michael of South Dakota; his siblings, Nonanna of Texas, Katrina of Tennessee and Jude of Minnesota; his friend Jennifer of Montana; his former wife Debra; his close friends, Leah and Tracy of Boise, Idaho.; his daughter Jenna Lee; and his siblings, Joe, Robert, Michael and Chenoa.
To honor Phil's life, his Indigenous heritage, and his desire to help others, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to support Native American mental health and substance abuse recovery.
