He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Unruh and Dorothy Unruh; his sister Ronda Rose Disney; and his wife Gaylene. He is survived by: his children, Kristian, Stephanie and Emma. He is also survived by his three children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
