With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Ann Powers Harper (Wright, Kansas), born in Spearville, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2026 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil E. Powers and Mary Juanita Powers (Juttner); her husband Donny Harper; her siblings, Virgil Eugene, Maxine and Ken; her sister-in-law Peggy Powers; her sister Peggy Schulte; and her stepgrandson Cooper Casey.
She is survived by: her significant other Daren Wright; her son Shawn Mead; her stepdaughters, Kodi Casey (Brandon) and Rachael Alexander (Joshua); her grandchildren, Samuel Mead, Julia Mead, Brady Casey, Quinn Casey, Rylee Harper, Ashur Alexander and Abigail Alexander; her pets, Sophie and Krissy; her brothers, Dale Powers and Don Powers (Cynthia); and her brother-in-law Dallas Schulte. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
