He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth William and Mildred Agnes Stine (Nutter); and his siblings, Edgar Stine (Eleanor), Norman Stine (Audra) of Iola, Bernita Dawson (Jack) and Margie Shanks of Iola.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Melgares (Pat) of Manhattan and Kerry Potter (Don) of El Dorado; his wife Mary Ann Cromer of Mapleton; his grandchildren, Chris Melgares (Rachel) of Forest, Virginia, Michael Melgares of Manhattan, Cara Lutgen (David) of Beloit, Kansas, Kelsey Reinhardt (Cole) of Wichita and Alyson Potter of Lawrence; and his great grandchildren, Lucy, James Melgares of Forest, Virginia, Aaron Lutgen of Beloit and Kyler Reinhardt of Wichita. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
