Carl Michael Shay Sr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carl Michael Shay Sr. of Yates Center, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren William and Frankie Shay (Parks); and his siblings, Bob, George, Bud, Frankie, Merdene, Isabell and Nellie.

He is survived by: his sons, Carl Shay of Manor, TX and Kevin Shay of Altoona, KS; and his sister Linda Crain (Sevin).

The military honors was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Altoona Cemetery.

Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
