He was predeceased by : his parents, Jake Saubers and Lola Saubers; his siblings, Harold, Jake, Lloyd, Helen Tredway and Shirley; his son-in-law Doug; and his daughter Gayla Smoot.

He is survived by : his daughter Shala; his wife Belva Audiss; his grandchildren, Laisen Stitt (Kia) of Yates Center, Kasha Righini (Johnny) of Yates Center, Tytan Smoot of Yates Center, Taven Smoot of Yates Center, Kailor Stitt of Buffalo, Jaelyn Stitt of Buffalo, Tabitha Smoot, Jake Howard and Mary Frantz; and his daughter Melissa Smoot.
