With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenn Edwin Nisly of Yoder, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Edward and Catherine "Katie" Nisly (Yoder); his wife Fannie Bontrager (Chupp); his siblings, Lloyd Nisly (Viola), Paul Nisly, Earl Nisly and Emma Mae Helmuth (Omar); his brothers-in-law, Eli Hochstetler and Joe Miller; and his stepdaughter Eva Kurtz.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Nisly (Cathy) of Hutchinson, Omar Nisly (Kim) of Partridge and Donna Shafer (Jerry) of Hutchinson; his stepchildren, Ken Bontrager (Liz) of Indiana, Dorothy Bontrager (Lee) of Indiana and Steve Bontrager of Indiana; his stepson-in-law Tom Kurtz of Indiana; his grandchildren, Joshua Nisly, Jennifer Nisly, Jacob Nisly (Kami Bankston), Jerrod Shafer (Emily), Austin Shafer (Janae) and Jordan Shafer (Jenna); his siblings, Elizabeth Hochstetler, Alvin Nisly (Sharon) and Mary Miller; and his sisters-in-law, Bea Nisly and Esther Nisly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and the Miller and Chupp siblings.
