He is survived by: his children, Charles Dewayne Baker (Carla), Brandyn Baker (Chantel), Cheryl Thompson (Timothy Skidmore) and Mary Smith (John); his grandchildren, Crystal Helton, Ben Pace, Megan Short, Timothy Thompson, Logan Baker, Katelyn Sawyers, Derick Thompson, Abigail Baker, James Chasteen, Jayleah Thompson, Caiden Baker, Khloe Baker, Kiley Baker and Ryder Baker; his great grandchildren, Emily Helton, Haley Berry, Brooke Bargo, Carter Sawyers, Braelyn Pace, Zander Pace, Carter Stewart, Sierra Helton, Mia Short, Piper Short, Charlie Short, Kinsley Helton, Carter Thompson, Madilyn Baker, Atticus Baker, Madelynn Chasteen, Silas Thompson and Leah Helton; and his siblings, John Rickerson (Bonnie), Mike Rickerson and Brenda Bray (James). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home (106 Cherry St, Pineville, KY 40977). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
