He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar McWhorter and Audra Ferguson McWhorter; his son Greg McWhorter; and his sister Marna Irwin. He is survived by: his wife Alice McWhorter; his daughter Debbie Claywell (David); his siblings, Sandra Allnutt, Carl McWhorter, Keith McWhorter and Ned McWhorter; and his grandchildren, Courtney Norris (Richard) and Lance Claywell.
