She was predeceased by : her parents, John Elmore and Gertie Elmore; and her siblings, Verda Mae Maddox, Onie Elmore and Paul Elmore.

She is survived by : her husband Stanley Thompson; her daughters, Vicki Butcher (Rodney) and Shirley Burton (Jay); and her siblings, Betty Appleby (Pete) and Johnny Elmore. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Talbott Funeral Home (1106 N Cross St, Albany, KY 42602). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
