She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jeffers and Rose Jeffers (Isaacs); her husband James Shields Jr.; her daughters, Melinda Shields and Gwendolyn Shields (Kevin Valentine); and her brother Dan Jeffers.
She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Shepard (David); her grandchildren, Kristen Hehman (Ian), Coy Shepard (Krista), Laura Lester (Jake) and Natalie Wilson (Paul); her great grandchildren, Ryland, Casen, Ronin and Jensen; and her brothers, Bill Jeffers (Janet) and Don Jeffers (Brigitte).
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (10759 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Main Street Church (11093 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the St. Stephens Cemetery.
