He was predeceased by: his parents, Talbert, Sr. Deaton and Malinda "Lindy" Deaton (Turner); his former wife Pauline Deaton (King); his daughter Linda Grisham; his son-in-law Jim Simon; and his siblings, Magdalene Turner (Bud), Rosalee Lingley (Harvey), Polly Dunn (Hubert) and Johnny Deaton (Donna).
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Jacqueline "Jackie" Deaton (Mays); his children, Tim Deaton and Tammy Simon; his brother Talbert "Sprig" Deaton, Jr. (Betty); his siblings-in-law, Bobby King and Marie Criders; his grandchildren, Stephanie Deaton Watkins, Scott Deaton (Kathy), Ashley Lusenhop (Mike), Haley Grisham and Carissa McCarthy (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Alexis Guy (Bret), Ian Deaton, Jayden Lusenhop, Jaxon Lusenhop, Bella Watkins, CJ Watkins, Caleb Gordon and Levi McCarthy; and his great great grandchildren, Jace and McKenna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
