He is survived by: his spouse Shirley (Cappel); his children, David Sawyer (Dee), Joe Grimme (Laura), Carolyn Goldberg (Doug) and Maria Stanton (Kevin); and his stepsons, Jeff Cappel, Greg Cappel and Tony Cappel (Angie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
