He is survived by : his children, Carl Lester Smith (Savanne) of Mount Vernon, KY, Willie Smith of Annville, KY, Freda Short (Michael) of Centerville, IN, Lola Smith (Sam) of Chandler, AZ, Carrie Lynn Gouge of Richmond, IN and Dion Smith (Tara) of Richmond, IN.; and his siblings, Myrtle Gilbert of Manchester, KY, Hattie Sizemore of Manchester, KY and Debert Smith of Manchester, KY.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Barr Creek Holiness Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
