He was predeceased by: his father David Lee Yates, Sr.; and his sister-in-law Mary "Mag" Yates. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Oney Yates; his wife Lori Dickison Yates; his children, Brandon Lee Yates and Heather Renae Hess (Joshua); his grandchildren, Alan Lee Yates, Andrew Garrett Hess, Hunter Matthew Hess and Carter Wyatt Hess; and his siblings, Ron Yates (Debbie), Steve Yates, Kim Grooms (Chad) and Regina Langdon (Victor).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wurtland Church of God (3361 KY-503, Wurtland, KY 41144).
