It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Joseph Davis of Argillite, Kentucky, born in Grayson, Kentucky, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil L. Davis and Myrtle Sammons Davis; his former wife Mary McCarty Davis; his wife Phyllis Kouns Davis; and his siblings, Ollie Davis, Lucille Barry and Allene Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Davis (Mandy) of Olive Hill, Joey Davis (Patty Wolfe) of Argillite, Kentucky and Tina Rice (Scott Durfee) of Mansfield, Ohio; his sisters, Faye Watts (Jesse) of Ashland and Beulah Oney of Ashland, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Harley Joe Davis, Bre Davis, Robert Hickok, Randal Lucas and Kelsie Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Ryley, Gage, Serenity, Brendon, Carter and Delilah.
