He was predeceased by: his parent Ewell Collett; his siblings, James Collett, Dean Collett and Patricia Whitney; his niece Jennifer Smith; his grandson Charlie Upton; and his great-niece Neveah King.
He is survived by: his stepfather Clarence Patterson; his siblings, Mary Collett (Steve Warren), Nina Collett, Danny Collett (Tonia) and Benny Collett (Beverly); his children, Misty Upton (Jeff Hollingsworth), Jeremy Gross (Dannie) and Ashley Gross; his grandchildren, Ryan Hollingsworth and Remi Gross; his siblings' children, Chris Smith (Pammy Bowman), Tommy Smith (Nicole Wilder), Joey Smith (Kelly) and Cynthia Bailey (Wesley Thomas); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaelyn, Lexie, Blaiton, Brooklynn Smith, Ali Bailey, Makenzie, Kierra Bays, Everly Thomas, Danny Cox, John L. Cox, Chris Cox, Travis Cox, John Weinbrenner, Willie Collett, Justin Miller, Jacob Miller and Kayden Miller; and his pet Little Bit. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
