Thurman Alfred Posey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thurman Alfred Posey of Arjay, Kentucky, who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Isaac and Elizabeth Elliott Posey of Kansas; his wife Mossie Miller Posey; and his siblings, Vernon Posey, Betty Lou Varian, Ruth Wilson, Gay Hester Dunn, Phyllis Hottard, James F. Posey, Earl Posey, Buster Posey, Kelso Posey, Pauline Posey and Irene Shipley.

He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Patterson; his sister Patsy Thompson; and his close friend Dennis Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made toward the funeral expenses.
