With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Abraham Rios Jr. of Ashland, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Abraham farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Abraham is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parents, Abraham Rios Sr. and Cheryl Bell Green; his stepmother Frances; his children, Tiara Rios, Abreona Shutters (Alex), Abraham Rios III and Abreon Futrell; his grandmother Mary A. Bell; his fiancée Cathy Leone; and his grandchildren, Taygen Shutters and Kingston Shutters. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
