She was predeceased by: her husband Alton "Butch" Picou; her parents, Carl Howard and Geneva Howard; her siblings, Danny Howard and Wanda Babin; her grandson GySgt Gregory James Mullins; and her son-in-law Paul Polk Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Dena Mullins Polk; her grandchildren, Christopher Polk, Craig Mullins (Hoang Dao Mullins) and Sarah Polk; her granddaughter-in-law Violeta Mullins; her brothers, Garry Howard (Patricia) and Jerry Howard (Sandy); and her great grandchild Many. She is also survived by Many Nieces and Nephews.
