It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Runyon (Ashland, Kentucky), who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oral Lewis and Gladys Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Runyon (Julie) of Ashland and Ronda Runyon of Lexington; her sister Kay Edwards of Ashland; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson (Josh) and Ryan Runyon (Sunshine); her great grandchildren, Jacey and Judd Nelson; and her friend Lisa Owens.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Carolyn's memory to Cannonsburg Trinity Community Church, 11620 Midland Trail Rd., Ashland, KY 41102, Daybreak Community Church, 210 East Reynolds Rd., Lexington, KY 40517, or First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1901 Winchester Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
