He is survived by: his children, Michelle Penix Steele and Danny Penix II; his daughter-in-law Tonya; his sister Vickie Diane Howard; and his sibling's children, Jessica Spaulding, Diana Nicki Spaulding, Kim Linskey, Christy Jackson and Timmy Howard. He is also survived by father to his two children.
