It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dewey Slone of Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Slone and Sarah Boggs Slone; and his siblings, Harold Slone, Mary Haynes, Barbara Mills, Linuel Slone, David Slone, Dorothy Jones, Deana Runyon, Jean Greathouse and Jane Staats.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rosetta Jordan of Ashland, Judi Cole of Columbus, OH, Ralph Slone of Columbus, OH and Phillip Slone (Billie Jean) of Russell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ashland Animal Rescue Fund, P.O. Box 2061 Ashland, KY 41105-2061.
