He was predeceased by: his father Edward Blanton; and his sisters, Helen Leroy and Mary Jo Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Mary Blanton of Ashland, KY; and his children, Michael Edward Blanton, Dawn Carol Blanton-Nash, Susan Barnes (Paul) and Leslie Jones (Butch) of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by Six grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
