He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Stewart Sr. and Margaret Clevenger Stewart; and his sister-in-law Patricia Stewart. He is survived by: his brother John C. Stewart Jr. of Ashland; his sibling's children, John C. "Jay" Stewart III (Kelly) of Naperville, Illinois, Heather Wolfe of Ashland and Katherine "Katie" Griffith (Geoff) of Russell; his girlfriend Debbie Weinfurtner of Ashland; his girlfriend's child Leigh Ann Romer (Doug); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon, Tyson, Roman Griffith, Avery, Nolan Stewart, Mason and Addison Wolfe; Cohen Romer of Lexington.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
