It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Catherine Meade of Ashland, Kentucky, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on September 22, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father John S. Marcum; her husband Ernest N. Meade; her siblings, William J. Marcum (Georgia Meade), Glen Marcum, David O. Marcum, Bruce (Cindy Marcum), Evelyn Claire Lawrence (Kie) and Lucille Spandau (Ken); her brothers-in-law, Leonard Daloia and Lawrence Pauley; and her caregiver Madalon Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Meade of Ashland, KY and Richard D. Meade "Dicky" (Paula) of Ashland, KY; her sisters, Virginia Daloia of Columbus, OH, Barbara Pauley of Huntington, WV and Rita K. Hereford (John) of Cleburne, TX; her sister-in-law Joyce Marcum of Huntington, WV; her grandsons, Richard A. Meade of Boca Raton, FL and Maxwell D. Meade of Boca Raton, FL; her close friend Pearl; and her caregiver Amy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
