Doris Stewart Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Stewart of Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Doris leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Doris may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Stewart; her parents, Emil H. McDavid and Della McDavid (Ison); her daughter Gina May of Versailles; and her brother Dale McDavid of Wagram, NC..

She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Schouten (Jim) of Paris; her grandchildren, Kristen Hogg (Andrew) of Lexington and Cameron Moore (Jonathan Elliott) of Georgetown; and her great grandchildren, Silas and Luke Hogg. She is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Doris requests donations be made to either Ashland Area Hospice, or First United Methodist Church of Ashland.
