He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Houston Sharp and Maybelle A. Gann Sharp; and his siblings, Pearl, Betty, Dorothy, Mary, Henry, Sammy, Freddie and Tommie Faye.
He is survived by: his son Ernie Sharp II (Carolyn) of Ashland; his sister Daisy Farrell of Sebring, FL; his grandchildren, Phillip Sharp (Kelly) of Russell, Krista Cahall (Cory) of Georgetown, OH, Sarah O'Bryan of Westwood and Dylan Harper of Lexington; and his great grandchildren, Emerson Cahall, Ethan Sharp, Evelyn Cahall, Elizabeth Cahall, Abby Sharp, Jayden Spurlock, Angel Moore and Jonathan Moore.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (2040 Main St W, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
