It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Genie McKenzie (Ashland, Kentucky), born in Greenup, Kentucky, who passed away on July 19, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee and Blanche Sammons Cales; her husband Donald Ray McKenzie; and her sister Nora McWhorter.

“We are so saddened to hear of genie's death. We were blessed to be genie's neighbor on windsor court for ten years. She became a dear friend and we are flooded with great memories of our times together. Genie was a very special friend...I will never forget how she cared so much for the court and spent hours keeping it beautiful. We feel so honored to have had the times we had with genie. the world has lost a very special lady. Our prayers are with her family at this sad time.”
