He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Davis Sr. and Verlie Fitzpatrick Davis; his wife Mary Murray Davis; and his siblings, Harold Davis, Howard Davis, Bea Borders and Christine Davis.

He is survived by: his son Judge George W. Davis III (Marcia) of Westwood; his granddaughter Olivia Davis; and his sister Betty Rice of Paintsville.
