He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gillette and Jewell Perry Gillette; and his wife Charlotte Sue Gillette. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Jewell Gillette-Crisp (Jason) of Ashland and Angela Ann Pater (Greg) of Las Vegas; his brother Mark Gillette (Morgan) of Atlanta, GA.; his grandchildren, Courtney Shandel Hensley (Tyler), Christopher Jackson Blake Gillette, Chloe Alexis Gillette, Clayton Allen Hampton (Kati) and Katelynn Crisp (Spencer); his great grandchildren, Hank Hensley, Hardy Jack Hensley and Baylor Brumfield; and his niece Kimi McClelland.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
