He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Holtsclaw and Opal Holtsclaw; and his daughter Susan Holtsclaw. He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his children, Kelly Aldridge (George) of Catlettsburg, Scott Brenner (Michelle) of So Charleston, Michael Holtsclaw (Lisa) of Elkview and James S Holtsclaw of Ky; his siblings, Charles Holtsclaw of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Donna Oldrieve of Fort Myers, FL; his grandchildren, Kierstin Dillard, Kaitlyn Dillard, Matthew Brenner, Andrew Brenner, Alex, Eli, Tyler Aldridge, Morgan, Adam Holtsclaw, Zackery and Katianna Holtsclaw; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Cooper Brenner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the House of Grace Church, for their Food Pantry.
