He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hall and Ida Leona Stanley Hall. He is survived by: his sons, James Hall Jr. (Karla) of Rush and John Michael Trusty of Louisville, Kentucky; his granddaughter Tabitha Hall; his great grandchild Colton Widner; his brother Larry Sam Hall of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; his pet Sadie; and his brother-in-law Charles "Bunny" Adkins of Catlettsburg, KY.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of food being sent to the home, donations be made to a local food bank and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's memory to Community Hospice at 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
