With sadness, we share the passing of Jan Elise Hammonds of Ashland, Kentucky. Jan, born on January 5, 1954, passed away on October 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Jan for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wilcox and Helen Howell Wilcox; her husband Robert Hammonds; and her daughter Heather Serey Wilson. She is survived by: her daughter Gena Serey of San Jose, California; and her grandson Mitchell Wilson of Ashland.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
