He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cumpston and Nerva Boyd Cumpston; his siblings, Robert Cumpston, Stella Canifax, Mary Cole, Leona Gard, Donna Cumpston and Joann Sugarl; his wife Ann Daniels Cumpston; and his children, Jimmy Edward Cumpston (Connie) of Ashland and Linda Crowe (Jeff) of Ashland.
He is survived by: his sister Sue Watson of Kenova, WV; his grandchildren, Allison Worthington (Steve), Carrie Wattula (Jaison), Rachael Cumpston (Rob Greenhill) and Ryan Cumpston (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Cole, Samuel, Cambrie, Clyde, Cash, Cameron, Grace and Chris.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
