He was predeceased by: his parents, Susie Helena Greene McClanahan and John B. McClanahan, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jilson Conley McClanahan; his sister Barbara Sue McClanahan of Ashland; his son John B. McClanahan, III (Alaina M. McClanahan) of Paris, KY; and his grandson John Alexander McClanahan (Xander).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Christ Methodist Church at 2335 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
