She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Gilbert "Gilley" Layman and Garnet Mae Prose Layman; and her brother Gil Layman. She is survived by : her boyfriend Morton Sprouse of Ashland, KY; her daughters, Melodi Ricks (Brian) of Granite Shoals, TX and Andrea McKnight (Dustin) of Ashland, KY; her grandchildren, Brycen Ricks, Travis Cox, Sarah McKnight and T. J. McKnight; and her brother Joseph Layman (Pam) of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by extended family and friends.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ashland Cemetery (1518 Belmont St, Ashland, KY 41101).
