He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Kim Lee (Shawn) of Ashland, KY, Mark Wheeler (Dellann) of Russell, KY, Jeff Wheeler of Ashland, KY and Carl Wheeler (Pam) of Flatwoods, KY; his granddaughter Mary Jo Lee Weil (Josh); his siblings, Samuel Wheeler (Martha) of Raceland, KY, Dora Wheeler Stevens of Westwood, KY, Curt Wheeler, Bill Wheeler, Charles Wheeler and Ruth Cannoy; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Wheeler, Nancy Wheeler and Fred Cannoy. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Neal Funeral Home (2409 Center St, Catlettsburg, KY 41129). A memorial service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
