He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hubert and Mary Pauline Cooksey Woods; and his brother William "Woody" Woods. He is survived by: his children, Mary Beth Brackman (Steven) and Larry Harper Woods; his sister Elveda Womack (Larry); his sister-in-law Betty Woods; and his grandchildren, Madison Sarah Brackman and James Maxwell Brackman.
