With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loval McDowell of Ashland, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 8, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin McDowell and Margaret McCowan McDowell; his son Kevin McDowell; and his siblings, Lowell Gene McDowell, JC McDowell, Jim McDowell, Doris Sparks and Annette Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his son Wayne McDowell (Kim) of Russell; his stepchildren, Paul McNurlin, Jr. (Jessica) of Ashland, Ann Whitacre (Justin) of Ashland and Joanna Romeo (Joseph) of Charleston, WV; his brother Mike McDowell (Sue) of Maysville, KY; his grandchildren, Paige Minnehan (Justin), Cody McDowell, Gage Whitacre, Dylan McNurlin, Gracie Whitacre, Trenton Hager and Maverick Romeo; and his great grandchildren, Faith, Lyndon and Tucker Minnehan.
