He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Martin McKenzie and Lavina Virginia Barnett Wilkes; his son Robert McKenzie; and his siblings, Hiram Talmadge McKenzie, Gene McKenzie, Dexter Mead, Raymond Wilkes, Steve Mead and Pamela Mead.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya McKenzie Kelly (Michael), Bryan Keith McKenzie (Jackie) and Christopher Hiram McKenzie (Rachel); and his sisters, Janelle McCoy and Mittie Rogers. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
