He is survived by: his children, Ronald L. Potter, Jr. (Jennifer) of Ashland and Silva Jean Pennington of Rush, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jami Wilson (Barry), Megon Knapp (Theo), Eric Potter, Regan Potter, Valerie Renea Davis (Will) and Brian Keith Pennington (Eldonna); his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Pennington, Bryson Pennington, Peyton Wilson, Lakyn Wilson, Cassidy Potter Pendleton (Sam), Destiny Renee Davis, Gabriel Davis, Ava Pennington and Maya Pennington; his siblings, Robert B. Potter (Linda Lewis), Mitchell Eugene Potter (Patricia) of Greenup, Kentucky and Zelma Alene Garvin (Larry) of Wurtland, Kentucky.; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Moore and Roger Zwieg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel (3409 13th St, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
