He was predeceased by: his father Ross Simpson; and his siblings, James Simpson, Jean Williamson, Joey Pruitt and Freda Brammer.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Koelling Simpson of Ashland; his daughter Gale Barton (John) of Florida; and his grandson Ross (Ashley) of Charlotte. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and amazing caregivers.
