He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lee and Libby Stein; his son Porter Lee Stein; and his siblings, Edwin Lee Stein, Raymond Stein, Doug Stein and Janet Stein.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Dobyns Stein; his daughter-in-law Lee Ann Stein of Noblesville, IN; his daughter Wendy; his son-in-law Jeff Grimm of Ashland, KY; his grandchildren, Victoria Burgin (David), Elizabeth Pfeifer (Kyle), Tanner Stein, Kelson Grimm and Melanie Grimm; and his great grandchildren, Myles Burgin, Emmy Jean Burgin, Charlie Pfeifer and Grace Lee Pfeifer.
