She is survived by: her friends, George and Jessie Boyd; her children, Richard Shelton (Laura) and Rita Jane Shelton; her sisters, Beulah Parker (Jim) and Sue Stevens (Lee); and her granddaughters, Rachel Shelton and Rebecca Shelton (Sechindra Vallury). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
