She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan Kersey Jr. and Virginia Workman Mays; her stepfather Buford Mays; and her brothers, Greg Kersey, Roger Kersey, David Kersey and Devin Mays.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen Lyons; her daughters, Kathy Dixon (Leonard) and Stephanie Smith (Michael Hale); her siblings, Jeff Kersey (Karen), Rick Mays (Debbie), Doug Mays (Kathy), Diana Hart, Vickie Dalton and Belinda Shelton (Charlie); her grandchildren, Koty Buck (Lauren), Shelby Rask (Markus), Stephen Koo, Makenna Sparks (Jimmy), Jordan Chaffin (Shane), Alex Dixon (Anna) and Morgan Colley; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Kylee, Emily, Jose, Caspian, Caleia, Dillon, Jemma, Parker, Charlie, Clifford, Easton, Kylin, Tamlyn, Aylee and Slade.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
