She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman "Red" Lanthorne and Virginia Lanthorne; her husband Wendell Jack Walter; her brother George Allen Lanthorne; and her siblings-in-law, Lafayette Walter, John Paul Walter, Dick Walter, Grady Walter, Bob Nipp Sr., Norida Nipp, Patsy Walter and Betty Jo Walter.
She is survived by: her brother Rodney Lanthorne (Lois) of San Diego; her children, Jeff Walter (Carol) of Joelton, Tenn, Bruce Walter (Misty) of Ashland, Scott Walter (Sheila) of South Point and Amy Alley (Steve) of Ashland; her grandchildren, Reece Walter (Pam) of Lexington, Zach Walter (Emily) of Morehead, Meghan Hennelly (Merek) of Flatwoods, Luke Alley (Jaden), Jack Alley (Lexi), Eli Alley of Ashland, Chloe Walter and Sean Walter of South Point; her great grandchildren, Houston Walter of Lexington, Minerva Hennelly of Flatwoods and Xander Alley of Ashland; and her siblings-in-law, Theodore "Ted" Walter, Sylvia, Carole and Sue Walter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
